Betrothals

It has been a month since I could write about anything,but finally I have found both the topic and time to pen my next blog down. If you have been socially active then you might have noticed a sudden rise in marriages this year.People everywhere have decided to get married or engaged this year as if the world will cease to exist after 2014.Now this might not concern you if you yourself are looking for a date (numerical or human :P) for your special day.But,if you (like me :D ) are in your early 20s,you cant help get frustrated by the annoying amount of weddings going around.

Anyway,in our early 20s we tend to have a very weird perception of relationships thanks to those beautiful bollywood and hollywood movies where love happens at first sight more often than rains in June in India. :D .Plus,all those stupid movies have hyped up the idea of proposals right from writing on the sky with a jet plane to getting on one knee (and embarassing yourself) and proposing in front of everyone.Many (guys especially) have found it hard to live up to these expectations.Those who don't mind the gesture want the words to be special.So much emphasis is laid on what people say while proposing that people borrow lines from books and movies just to hear a positive answer.Words are just instruments to convey our emotions.Rather people should focus more on what the other person's intentions with you  are while he/she is proposing.In a generation where break-ups and patch-ups happen on whatsapp and facebook,a true example of a good relationship is difficult to find.

A good relationship is the one in which there is commitment and compatibility.Being able to adapt to each other is what defines the relationship.A good relationship always help you shift the focus from each other to the world.A relationship in which people focus on each other breaks beyond repair.A relationship should be like a well deserved nap after a long day's work.If you start napping at the start of the day,you will miss your day's work and subsequently your pay too.Love which may be the cause for entering into relationships is not the reason to be in relationships.Love burns out in some time,but commitment is what helps maintain the relationship.What we actually need is a person who is loyal and committed to staying with us rather than someone who "loves us more than the world itself" :D .

I believe proposals are really interesting.When you get proposed by someone,it means you are doing something which others find attractive and appealing or maybe you are just appealing to look at.The latter part is quite sad,but if its the former case its an indication that you are on a right path.A proposal is always a morale booster no matter what the response is.It makes us feel better about ourselves,because someone likes us for what we are.But,for that to happen,we need to love ourselves.A person who doesn't love himself/herself won't be lucky in finding love elsewhere.Also,chatting for 2 hours continuously with stupid smileys DOESN'T mean love.It simply shows that we are bored with ourselves and hence chat with each other to pass time.

Relationships have the power to completely change your personality and character,so never enter into one without proper thought.Think twice before committing,because the love might dissolve but commitment needs to stand.Before you prepare yourself to get betrothed to your loved one and update your status on Facebook,be truthful about yourself,go inward and check your soul status.It may speak volumes about you than your 'bestie' with whom you just took a selfie.Love is there all round,we just need to look at the right places.
